Are you a digital artist that likes painting watercolor art? Or perhaps you want to practice more on your skills. My new series; Watercolor Workbook is a great place to start.
Now I don’t usually use my blog to talk specifically about my products but I believe this is a special case. The reason is, if you’re new to Procreate and creating/selling digital art (whether it be clip art, patterns, etc) – this is a perfect set to work with.
First in the series of Watercolor Workbooks is Botanicals. This Procreate set is ideal for painting soft, plush botanical designs as it comes complete with a digital workbook that includes 4 templates. Each template has a line art layer (that you can base your art from) as well as an example finished piece with colors and brushes used.
I spent a lot of time creating and tweaking each brush so that painting botanicals is not only easy…it’s fun. The workbook is a great place to practice your art and keep it all in one convenient place. The more you practice, the better you will get. Pretty soon you’ll be creating your own flowery patterns and clip art that you can sell.
This workbook isn’t just for beginners…anyone who wants to paint watercolor botanical art will find this set very useful. Every layer in the included digital workbook is completely customizable. Use the templates provided or start from scratch on a blank canvas page…and add more pages as needed.
If you want more information about this product you can visit the link in my shop here. Be sure to check the video out to see the brushes in action. I really believe digital artists of all calibers will love this set.
Again, my goal with Sofydoll Designs is not just about creating digital art or artist’s tools, it’s also about educating and helping others venture into their own design shop goals. I’m always happy to share any knowledge I have by creating products that make it easy for everyone.
Until next time…

Hi there, I am just beginning to work with this fabulous set, thank you by the way!
I don’t understand the way the colors work on some of the brushes. For example, Wet #1 and Wet #5 to name just a couple, I have a yellow color picked yet when I use it, it comes out a bright green on the page. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Betsy! Thanks for your comment and for purchasing this set. It’s one of my favorites.
Yes, several of the brushes were created to be color changing (or duo color), This is a little detail feature that helps when painting botanicals and also gives a bit of a traditional watercolor feel. If you don’t like the color changing brushes, you can edit them yourself. See instructions below:
1. Make a copy of the color changing brush you want to edit (this way you aways have the original)
2. Select the duplicate brush which will take you into the Brush Studio settings of that brush
3. Select the ‘Color Dynamics’ tab on the left hand side
4. Slide any settings to “0%’. Scroll down to make edits to all colors.
5. Go back to the brush you just edited and see the new effect
If you have any other questions on this, please do not hesitate to reach out. Am happy to help!
xoxo
