When you grow up with parent who’s an artist, it’s natural to be taken on various excursions to museums, art shows, plays and the like. My father often took us to places where we could experience creative expression. I never considered myself very artistic, though I grew an appreciation for art and wanted to live in a more creative way. My father has a great business mind but lived his life very creatively. He always thought out of the box and I loved that about him. Some people just have that way.
Although I consider myself somewhat of a free thinker, I always wished to be more of a free spirit. When we’re young, we’re insecure and tend to focus on things that make us fit in. However, as we get older we’re not so concerned with what people think of us. We realize what’s important and strive to live our life with more intent…to be content…and true to ourselves. What follows is we naturally live our life more artistically.
And yet for some people, whether it’s our upbringing or current issues we’re facing in our lives, it can be difficult. But still, we long for a simpler and more creative way of living.
Living an artistic life doesn’t even mean we have to be artists, per se. Really, it just involves embracing creativity, exploring various forms of art, and nurturing our passion for self-expression (whatever that expression may be). So even if you’re an accountant, or work in a factory…you can live life more creatively. And ‘art’ for you can mean photography, jewelry making, crocheting…or writing. Anyone can find a way to live more artistically.
You may ask “how”. Well I can give you some ideas below…
