I’ll make this post short and sweet…Suns out, funs out! It’s time to indulge in warmth of Summer.
Personally, there’s not much I love more than sitting by the pool to relax. Not only do I feel better having spent a few hours outdoors but the light is perfect for doing a little art. Sometimes, if the kids are in the mood, we do crafts together. It’s a great way to spend time with each other and just chill.
Summer is a wonderful time to slow down, soak up the sunshine, and reconnect with your creativity. The longer days and brighter colors all around us can inspire fresh ideas, whether you’re sketching in a park, painting vibrant landscapes, or creating digital artwork from the comfort of your studio.
Nature offers endless inspiration during the summer months. From blooming flowers and lush greenery to brilliant sunsets and peaceful beaches, every scene is an opportunity to observe color, light, and texture. Even a short walk outdoors can spark your next artistic project.
Summer is also a great season to experiment. Try a new art style, start a sketchbook challenge, or create a collection of artwork inspired by your favorite summer memories. Don’t worry about perfection—focus on enjoying the creative process and having fun.
Remember to make time for both creativity and rest. Sometimes your best ideas come after spending a quiet afternoon outside or taking a break to enjoy the season with family and friends.
However you choose to create, let summer remind you that inspiration is everywhere. Pick up your favorite art supplies, embrace the warmth of the season, and make this summer one filled with creativity and joy.
Until next time…
