Can you feel it? That Holiday energy is in the air which means the sales are coming…
First Thanksgiving, then Christmas, New Years and a barrage of festivities in between. It can a bit overwhelming and if you’re focusing on running an online business…you have to be careful not to take the joy out of your own holiday season.
That’s why I run sales. I love doing them and it helps keep me in a festive mood both personally and professionally.
Some sellers may find running a sale cheapens their brand but I think it’s great to offer some savings to customers during the holiday season. Let’s face it, everyone loves a sale and people reeeeaaaallly love a holiday sale. Not to mention, it’s a nice way of saying ‘thank you’ to your customers who have been loyal to you all year long.
A few ways you can run a sale:
- Your website: (if you have one) Either discount your prices or offer a coupon code.
- Etsy: Running a sale on Etsy is super easy. You can select a fixed discount or a percentage off and you can choose which products you want to put on sale.
- Marketplaces: Most design marketplaces will be running some sort of sale; whether for Black Friday, Cyber Week, Christmas or New Years. Don’t be afraid to reach out to them if you want to get involved.
- Promote the heck out of your sales to your subscriber list and social media following. It’s easy to put a simple promotion together on Canva.
As a heads up – Sofydoll will be running various sales across the board. Firstly, on my website where my base prices are the lowest anywhere. And currently (and thru the holiday season) you get an additional 15%. No coupon code needed – it will apply at checkout.
In the coming month I’ll also be running sales on various marketplaces with some being discounted as much as 50%! More details to come on both via email and social media…so keep your eye out!
I also want to take this time to thank my faithful customers who are simply the best. I have enjoyed serving you these past few years and look forward to continuing our relationship.
Oh and happy holidays!!
Until next time…
